We would just like to take a moment to say how proud we are of our age grade section. Thanks to the dedicated group of coaches, volunteers, parents and of course the boys and girls themselves who make Pontefract RUFC what it is. The club teems with activity on Sunday morning and there are some very talented players amongst them. Yesterday the U11 boys travelled to the Festival at Hull Ionians. Their performance was outstanding, winning the tournament without conceding a single point.

In the final Pontefract faced Hull, who had not lost a game for five years, so it was a stiff test for the Ponte lads, but they crowned themselves as champions by running out winners 5-0.

Coach of the U11's Simon Fletcher commented "I'm always proud of these boys but today has just topped every emotion I have ever had as a coach and teacher."
